Cartouche with Vanitas

Oval cartouche on which there is a Vanitas still life: a skull, with a lute and a music book in its open mouth; beside it an hourglass and a candlestick with a snuffed-out candle; behind the skull there is a cup on a stem. The cartouche has a Baroque frame, which is depicted against a black surround.
