Design for two intrados or pendentives of a dome: on the left is an allegorical figure (Darkness?) who is covering a second figure with cloths; on the right is an allegorical figure (Light?) holding a thunderbolt, who is driving away another figure holding a broken sword. The intrados are depicted against a background of washed black ink that covers the whole sheet.
